M L Becker Learning Center & Robert L Cummins Museum

The ML Becker Learning Center is offering you a once in a lifetime opportunity to actually sit inside a Mach 2 Cold War Soviet fighter cockpit and close the canopy. See the museum lights turn off and the cockpit’s original lights come on as you experience the thrill of sitting in the most famous Soviet fighter of all time.

ML Becker was a U.S. Army Air Force aviator and was shot down on his 23rd mission during World War II. He was taken as a prisoner of war. Becker served as a civil employee at Vance Air Force Base, and later as a mechanic at Woodring. He served 18 years on the Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park Board of Directors and assisted in establishing the educational center — named in his honor — to preserve the history of war and provide educational resources in its historical Lonnie Gillespie Library and Robert "Bob" L Cummins Museum.
