Located on five acres of land about an hour north of Oklahoma City, the Cherokee Strip Museum provides an opportunity to explore the remarkable events and people who made up the history of the Cherokee Outlet.

In 1988 the Rose Hill school building took on a new role. It became the site of a living history program entitled, A Day at Rose Hill School. Every day of the school year a different fourth grade class travels to Perry to attend school. The program has been attended by over 66,000 Oklahoma scholars, who were accompanied by over 9,000 teachers and parents.
