Lt. Governor’s Tourism Summit

October 29, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Oklahoma Travel Industry Association is excited to announce that it has once again partnered with Lt. Governor Todd Lamb to produce the Lt. Governor’s Travel & Tourism Summits! This half-day program will provide tourism education and best practices to promote tourism in your region, and includes a townhall-type discussion by the Lt. Governor on tourism development.

Hosted by Visit Enid, the October 29 Summit will feature speaker Amber Theinert, Koch Communications, as she covers:

Session 1: Amplify Your Story
Your business has a story, and you should be telling it! This presentation will be an overview of various ways you can give your business a voice using social media, digital media and public relations tools that are already at your fingertips. We’ll discuss how to choose the right channels for your audience, best practices in social, web and PR and how to set up your business’ digital footprint.

Session 2: Getting the Word Out
Building on the “Amplify Your Story” session, this presentation will be an overview of ways to use the digital and PR tools you have to promote your business or town’s next big (or small) event. We’ll provide tips on creating a communication plan, keeping the momentum leading up to the event and measuring success.

Registration rates begin at just $20/person for the townhall meetings and reception, and the full rate of $45/person also includes the educational workshops and breaks. There is an additional discount for those registering 3 or more people from the same business.
