Understanding Shakespeare: Actor’s Workshop

Are you ready to have some fun with Shakespeare? Dr. Bob McGill (formerly of Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, Wayne State University & University of Central Oklahoma) is ready to help you do just that! This 2-day workshop will explore how to bring The Bard to life in a modern world, including analyzing text, adding movement and expression, character development and making the work accessible for a modern audience. The first day will focus on instruction. The second day will delve further into practical application and participants will have a chance to present something they have worked on to the group on the second day. (If you can only come on Saturday, that’s ok, too!) No experience is necessary and all skill-levels are welcome: just enjoy this chance to work with trained professional Shakespeare stewards who are eager to pass on their knowledge!
