Step back in time and experience life on the Cherokee Strip during History Alive! in the Humphrey Heritage Village. On the first and third Saturday of each month, the historic buildings in the Village come alive with reenactors who are tending their shops, working their trades, or socializing at the Village Church. Visitors can learn about different skills and trades of the time, or file their own land claim in the Land Office. The Village will be Alive! from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Join us for a Made in Oklahoma Mini Expo at the Freedom American Legion Building from 8:30 to 5:30 on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

This is a KPRA/IPRA sanctioned rodeo. Rodeo performance starts at 8 pm nightly with regional contestants but also featuring our future contestants with Junior Calf Roping and Junior Barrel Racing. The junior events are for 16-year-old and younger contestants. Saturday is full of extra events from a 5K Fun Run, a Mini Made In Oklahoma Festival to the free Chuckwagon Feed and Old Cowhand Reunion.

Okeene Germanfest has been an annual event. The Okeene Germanfest celebrates the rich German heritage of many early settlers in the Okeene area—especially Germans from Russia. It features authentic, home-made German food, a variety of German beers, games, contests and good family fun.
